Casual Mondays: I'm back!!

Buenas noticias: no he muerto de gripe. Yiia!

Good news: finally I was not killed by the flu. Yay! I Know it has to be kind of hard to believe but I'm not recovered yet, I don't even understand how a little flu can last so long. Maybe here's the thing: I wasn't sick by the flu for years, so now this one thinks I deserved the long. But I missed the blog so much I can not wait anymore.

For this special Monday, because coming back makes it very special to me, I'm not sharing a link pack but showing a different kind of pack: some really beautiful videos I found around the web. The Music Matters is an interesting project which campaign aims to get music fans thinking about the significance of the music they listen to and how it affects each and everyone of us, and behind every song we listen to, there's a team of people who have worked hard to improve it more and more so we can enjoy a very special piece. To not forget them, now we can download free music on easier ways than ever, when we access it, we do from licensed sites.

The Music Matters asked some artist to make short films focused on inspiring music, on "music can't be ignored" as they say. They are trying to reach their goal this way, letting the music to talk by itself. There are fifteen films so far, here some of them:

About The Beatles and how they have gone next to the author during all stages of his life, the good ones and the less good ones...

About Elbow and how they always made the music they really wanted to do and the friendship between the band guys has lasted through the years...

About Bernard Butler and cherry red Gibson guitars...

About Sigur Ros and their long way to their second album...

This is my fave. Nina Simone showed such an amazing talent since she was only three so her piano lessons were financially supoorted by the community. Turns out at her first concert performance, her parents were ordered from the front row to make space for a white couple. Since that very moment she became an activist and used her voice to talk for those who couldn't.

Podéis ver los demás vídeos aquí. Todos son asombrosos.
You can watch the others short films here. Everyone are awesome.

P.S. Sigur Ros music... wow, magnificent, I'm speechless every time I listen to it.
