Ayer me di el primer chapuzón del casi-verano! Yayyy! Al parecer estamos "sufriendo" una ola de calor, pero he descubierto una cosa: las olas de calor en abril no son sospechosas de homicidio como las de agosto; sino que te permiten bucear, hacer surf y chapotear en la piscina de la azotea! No podía estar más feliz!

Unos clics en modo verano:

Yesterday I took the first almost-summer dip! Yayyy! Apparently we are "suffering" a heat wave, but thanks to that I 've found out one thing: April heat waves are not suspected of murder, while August ones are. No, they're not! They allow diving, surfing and splashing in the rooftop pool! I coudn't be happier.

Secretillos sobre Roma en Magacín

Ya os conté que la semana pasada estuvimos unos días en Roma visitando a mi hermano y a mi cuñada en su apartamento en el Trastévere (ya estoy subiendo fotos para el siguiente post). Esta semana en Magacín desvelo tres interesantes hallazgos que tuvimos la oportunidad de descubrir en esta ocasión sobre los italianos, sus costumbres y la magia del arte y la arquitectura que abarrotan Roma. Y, además, añado once tesoros 'pescados' en la red. Como siempre, os dejo un pequeño fragmento del artículo, por si os apetece leer:

(...) Comparten un precioso apartamento en el barrio de Trastévere, en el centro histórico de Roma, con mucha luz, arcos y pintorescos azulejos. Además, mi cuñada siempre ha decorado las casas donde han vivido con decenas de diminutos detalles que vas encontrando poco a poco, según pasan los días, y esto las hace doblemente especiales.

No quisiera extenderme con los pormenores de nuestras aventuras (sí, creedme, viajar con un bebé de un año y medio os garantiza la aventura diaria aunque no hagáis descenso de barrancos ni saltos en caída libre), pero no me resisto a contar tres pequeños hallazgos:

. Nunca he sido un gran devoradora de pizzas, básicamente porque no me gusta el queso (y ya que ando confesando, tampoco me gusta el chocolate -pequeña pausa para reacción de “¿¿cómo dices??”……………………… Ya-. Pero en este viaje he descubierto que la pizza de masa gruesa es la pizza napolitana, y la de masa finísima con bordes tostados-casi-quemados es la romana. ¿Vosotros lo sabíais?

Creo que ya toca un poco de inspiración para casa. Hacía semanas que no escribía ningún decopost, y como siempre que hago uno me decís lo bien que os viene y cuánto os gusta, aquí van algunas imágenes inspiradoras para ir preparando el papel de lija y las brochas de cara al finde.

Casual Mondays

¿Qué habéis hecho este fin de semana? Teo y yo estamos de nuevo unos días en casa de los abuelos, aprovechando que Juan tiene muchos aviones que coger estos días, nosotros también hemos tomado uno hacia el calor suave, el cielo más azul que conozco y el sonido del mar de fondo. Este viaje está sentándonos muy bien tras el ataque de los ninjas que casi acaba con nosotros, Teo está contentísimo y yo no puedo ser más afortunada, porque mis padres no sólo me ayudan mucho con el pequeño payasito sino que me hacen regalos como el que estoy disfrutando ahora mismo: ayer, tras pasar la tarde en el apartamento que tienen junto al mar, me convencieron para pasar la noche aquí yo sola, mientras ellos se llevaban de vuelta a casa a Teo. Aún estoy en shock! Tiempo para mi!!?? Wow, me puse hasta nerviosa.

Una vez los vi alejarse en el coche (y reconozco que una vez más, al saber que dormiría lejos de mi bebé, sentí una especie de presión extraña en el corazón... Ay, la naturaleza cómo es con las mamis. Se pasa, se pasa...), caminé por el paseo a orillas del mar y me senté en un muro rodeado de flores a ver la puesta de sol. Esto es algo que echo en falta, poder ver al sol esconderse tras el mar siempre me ha aportado una energía especial, y como coincide con la hora de acostarse Teo, pues hace mucho que no lo hago. Después seguí mi camino hasta casa, y aquí estuve trabajando un rato, también dediqué tiempo a darme unos mimos estéticos necesarios, y por último vi el capítulo final de Mujeres Desesperadas. Todo ello, con la ventana abierta y oyendo las olas ir y venir... El mismo rum rum que estoy oyendo en este instante mientras tecleo.

Dormí toda la noche (me desperté una sola vez buscando a Teo), y he desayunado en una terraza observando la inmensidad azul del agua. Menudo regalo me han hecho mis padres. Así debe ser el cielo, una ventana abierta junto al mar.

What did you do this weekend? Teo and I are at my parent's again for a few days. Since Juan has to take several airplanes these days, we took profit and took one too, to nice warm weather, the bluest sky I've ever seen with the sea sound as background. This trip is setting us very well after the ninjas attack which almost killed us, Teo looks so happy and I can't be more lucky, because my parents not just help me a lot taking care of the little clown but they are giving away some things so nice as the one I'm enjoying right now: yesterday, after spending the afternoon at the beach apartment they have by the sea, they convinced me for a sleepover by my own here, while they went with Teo back home. I'm still in shock! Some time for just me!!?? Wow, I even got nervous.

Once I saw them going away by car (and I confess that once again the minute I knew I was going to sleep away from my baby, I felt kind of a weird pressure in my heart... Oh, nature, why are you so tough on moms? You crossed the line, you crossed the line...), I walked by the sea and sat down surrounded by flowers to watch the sunset. This is something I really miss, having the chance to see the sun going down behind the sea always gave me lots of energy, and since that is the time Teo has to go to sleep, long ago I couldn't enjoy it. After that, I continued on my way home, and here I was working for a while, also took my time for some personal aesthetical needs, and finally I watched the last chapter of Desperate Housewives. All of it with an opened window while hearing the sea waves coming and going... Just the same "noise" I'm hearing at this very moment while I'm typing.

Slept through the night (woke up just once looking for Teo), and had breakfast on a terrace bar looking at the blue immensity of water. Such a gift my parents gave me. Heaven must be like this, an opened window by the sea.
