Just a mum: DIY made in CASA

Once summer is gone- and I know it's really gone because I was wearing my polar fleece this morning- I'm retaking Wednesday posts where I like to write about the exciting world of motherhood (no joke nor a trivial quote, it's true!). Everyday life is full of small details that sometimes go unnoticed in conversations between moms, where often are emphasized subjects as the number of times they wake up at night or they eat only if you put ketchup on their food or they already know how to say this or that other word. But in the end, that's part of the growth process, a compendium of phases that we all go through until we are clear about who we are and how we want our life to be (so, that lasts about 30 years -a decade after, a decade before-) . And while they are so young, what our children want above all is just playing and feel loved. That seems to me, at least. So I especially enjoy the time I spend playing along daily with Teo, and even more when he and I are crafting his own toys.

This week, with some leftover wooden blocks our dear neighbor Miquel gave me (he is a carpenter), we did the simplest of DIY projects, in case you'd fancy put you to work with your kids, because I will say that Teo is passionate about them and plays both making towers as making them to give kisses between them, smack smack smack!

#La familia de madera#
#Wooden family#

Materiales necesarios:

. Lápices de colores

Materials needed:

. Wooden blocks (although they can be plastic pots or buckets made by milk cartons or something like that, anything that can be stacked).
. Crayons

It's very simple: just draw Daddy, Mommy, siblings if any, and your little one on each piece of wood. And so he may the whole family to play and make them to kiss each other whenever he wants.

Mirad a Teo, últimamente no los suelta!
Look at Teo, lately he's stuck to them!

Que disfrutéis!
Enjoy!
