There's nothing like lying down at night on the cold sand of a beach and watch the moon and stars. A good white wine and good company even improve it. When I still lived on the islands enjoyed much of that (without the wine thing, was almost a child yet), watching for a while the beauty of this so clean sky this little paradise gives us and then a swimming in the sea. No, there is nothing better.
Matching with a meteor shower is pure magic. I remember one time in particular when contemplating little shooting stars like fireflies in the sky, suddenly some huge balls of light and fire struck us without warning followed by endless steles. I didn't know then that was an actual meteor shower. It was fascinating.
And I also have enjoyed without ever knowing the Supermoon. Do you know this kind of moments when suddenly you notice a huge moon is hanging from the sky? Well, this is the Supermoon, an annual phenomenon occurs when the satellite is at its closest point to Earth in its orbit path, allowing us to see much bigger and brighter. This year it already happened in early May, and there was a 14% larger and 30% brighter.
Here for a summer full of falling stars and super-gorgeous-moons to look at.
P.S. an illustrated video explainig what the Supermoon is and its effects, and did you know Venus passed blatantly in front of the Sun on Tuesday?
